MP3 Clown Vomit - Regurgitation

A terrifying, funny, sense of musical structure that is a unlike anything you have ever heard. A Progressive-Experimental-Avante Garde band that sounds like the cry of a baby conceived by Freddie Kreuger and The Easter Bunny.

12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Psychedelic, METAL: Progressive Metal

Details:
Clown Vomit is not just a band, it is an ideology. When the band was first formed in August 2001, founders Anthony Giannotti and Pete Scarlata had one goal in mind when forming the band- to anger the authority. Combing musical varieties such as progressive rock, hardcore, punk, jazz, doo-wop, and comedic music the band develops a completely unique sound. When theremist Brian Bonelli auditioned for Clown Vomit it was known by all that this was a truly original band. With the addition of thereminist and vocalist Brian Bonelli and percussionist Randy Cohen, Clown Vomit officially formed in October 2001. In 2002, after only two shows together and the tremedneously popular independent release Francesca’s Magic Crouton, percussionist Randy Cohen left the band due to unknown reasons. The band has never disclosed the full reason to this day. The website was shut down indefinitely, and it seemed like Clown Vomit’s career was over. In August of 2005, after four years away from his baby Clown Vomit, Anthony Giannotti returned with a much more polished, rhythmic rendition of Clown Vomit. He recruited guitarist/bassist Jonathan Moss as well as lead guitarist/percussionist Ryan Vota, while Scotty Zwang moved to the position of drums. Thereminist Brian Bonelli spoke at a recent live show about the break from the band, "Going on hiatus was a smart thing for us to do. As a band we all had different ideas on where to take the band, but nothing was happening collectively. The time off for us showed us how much we wanted this and we could do." The new songs this time recorded with master producer William Burns at DEAN Studios on Long Island, New York and were a smash hit when first released on the Internet.

Regurgitation is one of the more diverse albums you will find available today. From the instrumental-noise jam "One Note March (Take 1)" to "Acoustic Cereal," Clown Vomit shows that is just as possible to be utterly hilarious and insanely musical, all at the same time. There has been much chit-chat as to what Clown Vomit''s style is. Although it is clear from the distorted guitars that they are heavy, it is only appropriate, and therefore correct, to call the group Avante-garde. From classical to free jazz, Clown Vomit represents the entire spectrum of music in only 50 minutes on their sophomore release, Regurgitation.

Clown Vomit would not exist if it wasn''t for the sound of the main instrument and sound of the band, the theremin, played by Brian Bonelli.
The theremin is the first electric instrument and is played entirely by the space between your hands and the reciever, so there is no touching involved. The high energy of the music, combined with the stage presence of a band that never stops moving, makes Clown Vomit an experience you can''t miss.
Over the years Clown Vomit has evolved their song writing talents to include different style such as Bubblegum pop, Latin, Jazz, Blues, Ambient, and Hardcore. The limitless Clown Vomit will continue to evolve, bringing new instruments and new sounds to the stage.
