Details:
This CD is the debut album of Christopher J. Moeller. With 14 songs, it is obvious that this guy has a career in music ahead of him. At the humble age of 20 with 1 album out and a piano album, "The Dorm Sessions," on the way, he is progressively being blessed more and more by the gifts that God has given him in music and song writing. He attributes all his music as praise to God, thanking HIM for the wonderful gift of salvation through His son Jesus Christ. Enjoy this CD and grab one for your non-christian friend. Inside each CD is the salvation prayer, in hopes to win more over to the body of Christ.

The Songs:

With the help of Joel Unema, Matt Gruppen, Ryan Boes, and Bob DeVries, Chris produced this album in full playing the majority of the instruments. Instrumentation ranges from piano to drumset to digeridoo to guitar. For the sake of time and money all the vocals were recorded by Chris Moeller. A special thanks goes to his father, Randolph R. Moeller for his contribution of lyrics for the songs, "Sing Forever," "Abundant Love," and "Only My God."

TRACK 1: Psalm 148
This song was a song that was inspired by my mother. It was nearing the end of school and I was studying for my finals and getting really stressed out. So I did what everybody does and called my mom. She said to open up to a random Psalm and read it for encouragement. Prior to that converstaion with my mom, I had written a melody in my head that would not leave my head all day. So I did what my mom said and randomly turned to Psalm 148. For some reason I started to sing the Psalm using the melody I had in my head and wouldn''t you know it, it fit like a glove! It''s one of my best works because it''s strait out of God''s Word.

TRACK 2: Husband''s Prayer
This song was inspired when my brother Randy Moeller announced that he was going to marry a girl by the name of Dana Haan. The song has an interesting story because about a few days after he announced it, I was driving home from work thinking about it and all of the sudden I started writing this song in my head. I was focusing on how cool it was that God has a plan for everyone, even who we were going to marry! I said to myself, I want to write a song that conveys a spirit of thanksgiving to God for directing "the one" to my brother. It''s called "Husband''s Prayer" because it is literally a prayer from a husband to God thanking Him for the "girl of his dreams."

TRACK 3: Creator I Believe
This song is inspired on my belief in the literal version of Creation as God wrote it in Genesis 1. It also conveys the importance of God''s Word and the belief thereof.

TRACK 4: Not My Will
This song has a LONG story attached to it. To make a long story shorter: This song was inspired by a change that I made in my life to persue the ministry leaving the persuit of the medical field. The reason was because of my motives. I wanted to be a doctor (dentist in my case) because of the money! I knew what my passion was (music) yet I wanted to persue dentistry because it paid better! I always told myself that dentistry was going to be a fallback incase my music never worked out for me. That''s like saying, Ok God, I''m going to follow my passion that you gave me, but I''m going to become a dentist first, just incase you don''t make me rich from doing music. A very dear friend of mine called me out on that motive and encouraged me to go into the minsitry pursuing music and worship. Well... to make a long story short again, I decided to go into the ministry, and this song resulted the weekend after I realized that it''s "not my will" but God''s Will!

TRACK 5: Calling
This song was actually the first worship song I''ve ever written. It simply says that we are called to praise God. Praising God is not just an option we have, we are CALLED to it. The song goes onto describe God and some reasons why we are called to praise him. This song features Matt Gruppen on Electric Guitar.

TRACK 6: Paid
This song is the result of struggles and pain that occur in our lives. Jesus is our constant reminder that it does not matter the severity of our sin, it is paid for by Him, and innocent man. It is a salvation story put into a song.

TRACK 7: Take Control
In a time in my life when I felt really depressed, struggling through my own sins, I wrote this song. The song is a plea for God to come in and take the driver''s seat in my life. This song was left unfinished for many weeks, until God raised up a dear friend of mine who reminded me that God has a plan for me and that giving up is not an option. He helped me realize that though life be tough, God is there to pull you through and take your hand. The only way that can happen is if you put your faith in HIM.

TRACK 8: Come Lord Jesus
This is a song that represents a plea for Jesus'' second coming. It is a plea for his return as well as a daydream of what it will be like when He does come back. I love to think of where I''m going as a Christian and writing a song about it just seemed natural to me. Heaven is going to be awesome and this song is a preface to the final track of the Album :"If...(paid reprise)" which is the salvation prayer.

The Story:

Christopher J. Moeller grew up in Spring Lake, Michigan. He started piano lessons at the age of 6 and thrived having more enthusiasm than your average piano student. He wrote his first classical piece of music at the age of 12 and never stopped thinking up melodies. Soon he was writing lyrics to accompany those melodies which, to make a long story short, resulted in this album. He was trained on the drumset by world renouned Derico Watson and started to make a career playing drums at the age of 16. His passion for music and is love for the Lord has landed him many blessings in the field of music. He took first place in the Western Michigan Student Showcase 2003 with an Amazing Grace piano/drum solo (re-produced as Track 13 of this album). He also was awarded State runner up in the category of jazz drummers his senior year of high school. His music, more than anything, is intended to shine the Love of Christ to its listeners. His goal for this album is that at least one seed is planted in at least one person’s soul to grow a relationship with Jesus Christ through listening to this album.
