COUNTRY: Modern Country, COUNTRY: Country Pop
Opening for Johnny Cash at the Lilac Festival of Ten Thousand strong and performing at one of the biggest country events to ever come to Western New York...the Great Northeast Jamboree was a sheer delight. At the Northeast Jamboree Chasen shared the stage with the likes of John Anderson, Tammy Wynette, The Mavericks, Hal Ketchum and a host of other great country acts in a Four Day Festival Event.
Why would promoters include a veritable unknown in noticably big shows? Aside from his voice and songwriting capabilities, Chasen exudes a confidence and charisma onstage...that''s undeniable. Once you see this performer...you''ll understand the power of what others see and say. (Visit https://www.tradebit.com for testimonials)
Chasen started at the age of 7 years old when his father showed him how to stand in front of microphone and sing. Always singing and performing for family members, Chasen grew to love the world of performing. Performing in just about anything with music, Chasen honed his performing skills on the stage in musicals, plays, bands, cabaret shows, piano bars, honky tonks, cruise ships and even competed in local talent shows winning a majority of the time. Offered parts to play lead roles in musicals was a consistancy that Chasen enjoyed over and over both in New York (national tours) and performing in markets like Houston, Miami, New Orleans and Rochester.
To date this songwriter has produced three albums and is ready to produce his fourth. From the self entitled album "Chasen Powell" to "Chasin'' Love" to his current release "This Time It''s Real" Mr. Powell is a singer/songwriter/performer with enough natural talent to make it big with a well deserved break. The songs are good! People tell him all the time they''ll see him on the CMA Awards.
It''s just the right time and place is what. Chasen knows this and it speaks of a man who understands the complexities of the entertainment business.
"In this business, you have to light a fire for the blind. That''s when you can expect they will magically see. It''s nice to know there are those with exceptionally good eyesight...even in the dark. But connecting with them...that''s the difficult part."
As a performer in pursuit of a yet bigger performing goal as a National Act, Chasen has hit the often traveled road of bumpy "no''s" but he insists that perseverance, persistence and mostly stubbornness are still burning fires within him. His goal is to be the poster-boy for "NOW" not "NO" and make his lifelong dream come true of performing live on his trusty steed "Mustard" a must see event. We may not fully understand what to expect until we see the show... guess we''ll just have to wait. If the stars continue to burn brightly and light the way for this performer... that day may soon turn from dream to reality
