MP3 CenterLine - Bend in the Road
If CSN, Poco, James Taylor, and the Indigo Girls all went to see the movie ''O Brother, Where Art Thou?'' & then did an album together, it might sound like us. (What did you expect from three adults who never learned not to play in the middle of the road?)
12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Americana, FOLK: Folk Pop
Details:
Mark West and Angela and Jon Greenblatt have been playing music together for more than ten years and as a trio since the beginning of 2005. Their efforts as a threesome culminated in the release in early 2006 of their album, "Bend in the Road." It is an eclectic collection of twelve original songs, with a strong emphasis on rich vocal harmonies and a style that has been described variously as Roots Americana, Folk Rock, and Popular, with a flavoring of Country.
The sentiment found in the songs’ lyrics is as diverse as the style and instrumentation of the music. From the haunting ''Shadow in the Dark,'' about growing up ‘invisible,’ to ''Time Left Over,'' how to find and fit love into a busy life, to ''Wicked Witch of the Northwest,'' a countrified humorous look at a relationship gone bad, to ''Sing Me a Song,'' a melodic ode to regret for what might have been, to ''After the Last Word,'' about regret for what will never be again--the songs of CenterLine chronicle stories of lives that are both personal and universal. Everyone who listens to "Bend in the Road" will find a song and a sentiment that speaks to them, to their own lives, and to their own hearts.
We hope you will listen to the clips from "Bend in the Road" and find that it merits a place in your music library.
