Jonny Blu is currently living in between Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai and Los Angeles pursuing a completely unprecedented approach to the world music scene. He not only sings in Mandarin (and English), but he writes his own lyrics (in Chinese) and co-produces his music (with well-known US producer Myke Aaron). Jonny says that his thought process for writing his songs begins and ends thinking only in Chinese (not by translating). His style is a mix of R&B, electronica, and western pop, blended with a Mandarin pop feel. In 2004 Jonny appeared as himself in the Disney blockbuster movie "Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement" and he received an RIAA Certified Gold Record in the USA for his song on the soundtrack. In October of 2004 Jonny signed with See Music in Hong Kong, China and has since released 3 chart topping Mandarin songs "On the Edge," "The Apology,"and "Crossroads"(all written and produced by Jonny), and he has appeared in several television and radio shows throughout southern China. Jonny Blu is the first and only Caucasian artist ever to have done so in the history of the music business.
