Magic Box is enjoyable classic British pop rock.
John Jolliffe began his recording career during the late 70''s, producing an album and two singles for Elton John''s Rocket Records. John''s greatest success came on Atlantic Records where his ''Big Big Sun'' album sold a credible 50,000 copies. Jolliffe has also worked with members of Supertramp, The Gary Moore Band, The Pretenders and Don Henley.
All songs on Magic Box were produced by Jolliffe, except for his cover of Paul Simon''s ''The Sound of Silence'', which was co-produced with Dave Stewart. Besides vocals, Jolliffe plays keyboards and guitar. Joining Jolliffe on Magic Box are Marty Walsh on guitars, Will McGregor on bass guitar, Gary Ferguson on drums and Steve Simpson on violin.
''Magic Box'' was recorded at Ferus Studios in Los Angeles and engineered by Robert Biles.
Jolliffe currently resides in England where he continues to compose and perform. Joliffe is also known for his creation of the very popular children''s Cheeky Monkey Music Show CDs & DVD.
