The Vermont based musician, James O’Halloran was born in London, England on New Year’s Day in the late sixties. The guitarist-singer-songwriter has been playing guitar and writing songs for more than twenty years. In the 80''s, O’Halloran became a fixture of the Burlington music scene that spawned Phish. He has an active and varied solo performance career throughout New England playing his own songs and traditional blues. He has studied flamenco in Spain with the gyspy masters and performed at jazz festivals in Russia. This summer he returns to Berlin, Germany to song write and perform. He has opened for blues legends Koko Taylor, Johnny Copeland, Junior Wells, Ronnie Earl, James Cotton and Bo Diddley. His music has been featured on television, radio and included in various compilations releases. Most recently, a song from “The Nashville Sessions” was selected to be included on “In Silver Light” to be released in June, 2006 by Big Heavy World. He is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association, the International Songwriters Association, and has recorded a number of CDs of his own material. His latest CD, an alt-country/folk rock bag of songs called “The Nashville Sessions” was recorded in the Music City last year with a host of great Nashville session players helping out.
