He has also been honored as a finalist in the Telluride Troubadour Contest and the Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase.
Grossman has 4 cds to his credit. His latest, "I''m Innocent," features some of the nation''s finest musicians including: Mollie O''Brien, Matt Flinner, John Magnie, Christian Teele and Mel Brown. These recordings, along with his reputation as a captivating live performer, have established Grossman as a powerful voice in the Rocky Mountain Region.

"If Sound were translated into taste then Judd Grossman''s newest release, I''m Innocent, encompasses a whole range of Sweet flavors. Sweet is the core of what all sounds on this album drift into and participate in. I''m Innocent does not contain one moment of harshness: even electric guitars perform like satin. There is a whole range of sound, each performing as an accent and an emphasis to the stories being told through the melodic vocals.

Judd''s voice might be compared to James Taylor. His voice has the same controlled and full softness approaching the listener in the form of a caress asking them to participate in movement that is like a waltz.

The songs are wonderfully written and tell stories at times playfully and at times brokenly. She Likes Being a Girl sings of the various superpowers and curiosities that go along with being a girl. God''s Face Was Hid manages, capably, to question the presence of evil and the desire for faith. Judd''s songwriting is open and seems to be rooted in concepts of home, family and faith.

Grossman and Kevin Clock''s production skills are obvious in the clarity and articulate voices of instruments which contribute o the overall impression that you are a participant wihin an eclectic sphere of pop mastery.

The music has undertones of classical guitar structure or folk music with heavy pop overtones. To me, pop can have a tendency to be saccharin and overproduced to the point of bland and overwhelming cute noise. Pop is often root beer milk, or Torani syrup (by the shot with no training wheels) when it should be more like a white Russian or coco (with whip cream). I''m Innocent manages to avoid being Torani syrup through the simplicity of beautiful melodic construction. The songs are honest and approach the listener openly and prettily like a child"
