If you''re yearning for that classic house vibe but fear that your Ellis D
vinyl is one spin away from disintegration, old skooler Junito Perez and
his cohorts in the Junito Perez Project have something for you! The
uptown maestro ( Jackson Heights, Queens!) has just put the finishing
touches on the update of his 2001 track "DON''T WANT TO BE ALONE (I''M
WAITING BY THE PHONE)" (FIERCE-O-RAMA RECORDINGS). Right off the bat, the
tracks revision gets down to business with a deep buzzing bassline
underpinning a massive runway styled beat. Kelly V''s sassy delivery
strikes a nice balance between R&B suaveness, pop accessibility and
gospel belting. "DON''T WANT TO BE ALONE"S new retread will be included on
COMMUNICATION, The Junito Perez Project''s upcoming full length cd, due in
the coming months.

Junito Perez project/I.M.T. Featuring Kelly V.
"I Don''t Want To Be Alone"
Kelly exudes all the drama this pensive deep-houser requires. She is
bolstered by a dark and intense groove that seems custom made for
underground consumption.
Several mixes are included and each is heavier than the nest. Be sure to
check out the new mix of the previously available" The Devil Made Me Buy
This Dress" on the flipside. Contact (347-489-5652)

Junito Perez Project/I.M. T. featuring Kelly V.
"I Don''t Want to Be Alone"
Another American contender to note is a big underground hit that''s
starting to spread down the happy house highway via enthusiastic club
jock word-of-mouth. It''s called "I Don''t Want to Be Alone" and it''s by
I.M.T.,
the troop behind the classic gay raver "The Devil Made Me Buy This Dress".
The new release is much more accessible, thanks to a slick production
with lots of hooks, a real DIVA vocal, and a lively choral punch line
delivered by Earth Kitt. This 126 b.p.m. beauty, on NY based Miss Girl
Records (347-489-5652) is a left field surprise that''s right on the money.
