After hitting the jackpot with the South Carolina Education Lottery Jingle, scoring a touchdown with the Carolina Panthers Super bowl Anthem, quenching his thirst with a Sprite Jingle, slam dunking The Charlotte Bobcats’ Jingle, showing his Carolina Pride with the Gamecocks’ Chant, and making the headlines with his News 19 Jingle, Jermaine Singletary has captured the hearts of many, once again, with his release to Hurricane Katrina victims, entitled, “Let’s Take In A Family”. Produced by Johnny Glenn, of Vertnie Records, and performed by Lorenzo and The Jeffery Singers (Brenda Jeffery, Shenaa Jeffery, and Petrece (Jeffery) Singletary), this single is sure to meet all expectations of his previous releases.
While proceeds from IGB Entertainment’s projects have been donated towards supporting Hurricane Katrina victims, Jermaine Singletary felt that it was time to become more personal. Therefore, Jermaine gave his brother Lorenzo a call in Atlanta, GA and began writing “Let’s Take In A Family”. With the expertise of producer Johnny Glenn and the charming voices of The Jeffery Singers, it was only days before the project was complete.
Jermaine explains, “The giving of large donations of money is always a good thing, if you have it to give, but what really tests the will of man, is the giving, even when you don’t have! My colleagues and I have given what we can in this moment of distress for the victims, but it was in creating a song, that we were able to reach deep into our hearts and transform our display of love for those affected by this tragic situation. We hope that the world will be able to capture the impact this song will have on everyone that listens. We have shed tears together in the production of this song and have prayed for those involved. All we ask from you, the world, is to listen with open hearts and minds!”
Jermaine Singletary, Johnny Glenn, Lorenzo, and The Jeffery Singers plan to perform for several venues (The Tonight Show, Good Morning America, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, and The Tyra Banks Show, to name a few). With the success “Let’s Take In A Family” has been having thus far, it’s a good chance that their opportunities may present themselves.
