Albeit a bit dramatic, ALL of this is true about a RIP HOP band called JEMANI out of Augusta, Ga. What is RIP HOP? RIP HOP is the style you get when you take 3 seasoned musicians - with varying musical tastes - and add a hyper, Howard University graduate with an English degree, and 18 years of experience in the Hip Hop arena. For a broad point of reference think Busta Rhymes meets Pantera.
Recently, the band dominated the day, when they opened for PUDDLE OF MUDD and SEVENDUST. Due to the fact (at the last minute) the band was asked to open before BOTH of the national bands'' sets -- The Augusta Chronicle wrote that JEMANI "stole the show not once, but twice!"
JEMANI''s work ethic allows them to consistently come up with radio-ready anthems, and the fact that they actually like each other, brings an INCREDIBLE energy to their live performance. The band is, indeed, heavy enough for true "Metal" fans , "Hip Hop" enough for unbiased ''hedz'' -- and "Pop" enough for people who can''t stand either!!!
