As a child he burned his eyes while staring at the sun. It was all downhill from there. Haunted by the ever looming storm clouds of misfortune. Marcus Gabriel Dryburgh was a musician tormented by comical irony. One day in the small town of Turtle Creek things started getting worse. His band broke up, his girlfriend left him, he got fired from his job, his car windows broke, the phone died, he stubbed his toe, his dog bit him, people laughed at him, he could no longer hear and then it rained.

Now usually Marcus took everything in stride, being the consumate nice guy who always finished last. All this proved too much though. He broke out in maniacal laughter. His eyes became bloodshot and his hair stood up and curdled. For days he laughed. Laughed hysterically at the rain. His stomach ached and his head nearly exploded as his personality shattered. Just when he thought he might die of laughter the rain slowed down and he could almost see the sun through the clouds. He stopped laughing and realized he had no idea who he was and nothing made sense. "ANY FUCKING MINUTE NOW!" he screamed as tears streamed down his face. Out of the mist rose five shadows. The Earth began to shake as they whispered "Gabriel...Gabriel..."

Drums thundered across the sky. Guitars roared in the distance. The piano blistered the air. When the bass hit, trees fell. Still they chanted "Gabriel... Gabriel..." The music grew louder, and louder. The sky darkened and the Earth opened up. Still they chanted "GABRIEL...GABRIEL..." The sound was deafening. Marcus fell to his knees and died in his own vomit. Gabriel Mismatch was born and "ill noise inc." had begun...

"ill noise inc." the band started in the spring of 2000. "ill noise inc." itself started nearly twenty eight years ago. Born in Ciba, Puerto Rico on an unlucky Thursday in December Marcus Gabriel Dryburgh was brought back to Pittsburgh to grow up haunted by his frequent Friday the thirteenth birthdays. The budding guitar player would only later realize the importance of his origin. He befriended Kurt Woodcock (a drummer) and Ed Miller(guitar) at the age of fifteen at school and sharing musical interest they began jamming together. Eventually they went their separate musical paths. Marcus started singing in several bands with other people. Kurt and Ed stayed together and picked up another guitar player by the name of Sal Pirozzi and a bass player named Jeff Yeager. Years later after the break-up of both their various insignificant band projects, Marcus met Derek "Tweak" Goob, a keyboard player. Kurt, interested in starting a new band, invited Marcus and the Derek to try out.

What happened was a new sound that combined the heavier element of Kurt''s band with the pop song sensibilities of what Marcus had been trying to do all along and Derek fit in like he''d been there from the beginning. They rehearsed, wrote, and developed a feel for the new sound that seemed to be creating itself. In August they went into "the Audioloft" and began work with producer Buzzy Beck. From those sessions came a four song demo they distributed freely at shows. A few months passed as they continued to play shows. They then decided it was time to start work on a full length disc. At this time they adopted the name "ill noise inc. In December the song "window pain" was released on a compilation disc called Steel City Aggression 4 and it received steady radio play on the weekly local radio show "the x-files" on the Pittsburgh Rock Radio Station 105.9 "the X." Utilizing https://www.tradebit.com and several other music promotion websites they received praise and inquiry from such places as Germany, Australia, Canada, and Spain, as well as across the states.

Their song "illogical" has recently been selected for the upcoming X-files 2002 disc which represents the best and brightest new bands within the signal range of 105.9 and has already received some radio play.

With a powerful stage presence "ill noise inc." are the epitomy of what they represent. The unlucky. The unlikely. The explosion of rage and regret when you''re cornered and nothing has gone right and nobody wants to help you. Armed with a new sound they are on the verge of releasing an incredibly diverse album. The album is about misfortune. It''s about laughing and crying at the same time. It''s about the darkness before the dawn. It''s about self induced schizophrenia. It''s about fate. It is a story of illogical proportions.
