Incus is a 6 piece tribal, dynamic and mesmerizing dark-world band from Boston, MA. Their music is evocative, with male and haunting female vocals, various drums, cello, keyboards and bass.
With bass, tympani drums, metal percussion, and a Taos Native American cottonwood tree trunk powwow drum on the bottom, a beautiful cello, keyboards, various percussion and earthy male vocals in the middle, and a pristine angelic and sometimes middle eastern female voice on top, Incus''s full sonic spectrum has moved audiences from Boston to Miami. They have toured the east coast three times, and are currently headlining major venues in New York and in Boston. A recent article in Boston''s Weekly Dig suggests that they would be better suited performing in the woods around a fire in front of thousands, than on stage at a bar. Incus is proud to have Yanka Rupkina, known for her work with "The Bulgarian Women''s choir", Kate Bush, Linda Ronstadt, and George Harrison, appearing on their album.
