Details:
the overview
Familiar and original, the inversions combine contemporary influences like Radiohead and Wilco with every genre from motown to jazz to hip hop to country (and so-on) for a sound that''s an attack and an embrace. A rare impassioned experience based on careful song crafting and an engrossing energy has created a devoted fan base. the inversions have quickly risen to the top tier of the Sacramento scene since their inception in January ''04, all members owning extensive prior music experience.

the players
-Will Comstock, on guitars and keys, fronting the inversions, writing and singing most songs, has been described as John Lennon meeting Gordon Gano of the Violent Femmes.
-Ryan Offield, on electric and electric upright bass, writes and sings as well; he glues the band, personifying the familiar and original feel.
-Joaquin McPeek, on drums, brings discipline and dynamics in style and emphasis, ranging with ease from jazz to raucous, rock steady power.
-Ross Hammond, on lead guitar, varies between focused, experimental soundscapes, and traditional, Chet Atkins style, jazz/blues professionally refined solos.

the recordings
Boasting 2 EP''s ("State" & "Anywhere but Them") that honed their sound, they recorded their first LP at Brighton Sound with Dana Gumbiner (most recently recording the Golden Shoulders "Friendship is Deep" to a 4 star review in Mojo). Recorded in the Spring of ''05 "All Is Well," started with a limited fall release, and was supported by a west coast October tour.
