“Hooked on the Horns” was written just before the start of the 2007 Longhorn Football season, in part for use by a radio station that covered the Horns, but also out of the pure love Jon English has for his alma mater and their football team. Since then, it has skyrocketed into a legend unto its own, being played at watch parties and tailgates by Longhorn fans from coast-to-coast, and even by Coach Mack Brown at UT games in the stadium.
