Details:
With original songs, and much merriment, mOss circle formed in 2009 in the NE Kingdom of Vermont. Lead singer Margot Day has performed coast to coast. Day fronted the legendary band The Plague, released a solo CD, and the SACRED! CD. " ...mOss gives a good show in its visual as well as with its sounds, with a definite appeal to a generation familiar with the magical mythologies of Tolkein''s Lord Of The Rings and even Harry Potter" Hardwick Gazette. " .... mystical vibe appropriate to their name is apparent" Times Argus "The new songs show Margot Day and company in fine form indeed... she was the trendsetter that others emulated and a whole new generation will come to know Day in the latest incarnation of mOss". Mike V - Hidden Sanctuary. Fantasy Rock! Join the mOss circle....
Margot Day, singer, songwriter, and flutist, sometimes we hear the voice of a diva, or a seductive whisper, and sometimes the passionate cry of a wild woman. Her words will touch you, and her melodies will follow you. Margot Day has worked with such luminaries as Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys), Ira Elliot (Nada Surf), Jim Thirwell(NIN), Nick Zedd, R. Kern, London May(Misfits), Nick(Farenhieght 451),Bones(Disassociates), Joey(Motograter), Dru (This Ascension)...
Margot Day released a solo CD self-titled, and the golden SACRED! CD. Unique powerful songs had her music in the top 10 on college stations. Outburn wrote "unusual and unexpected.. remarkable". Day also fronted the band Ladybug. Day’s first band “The Plague” recorded the album Naraka which received regular college radio airplay (#1 at KMSA, WKKL) and intense press and is considered a classic by many. As lead singer for The Plague, Margot Day was part of the genesis of the NYC lower eastside music scene, and a strong force in goth and the underground – rubbing elbows with Rob Zombie, Sonic Youth, the Swans, Bad Brains, Of a Mesh….. Mick Mercer for Melody Maker wrote about Day, "Impressively Disorientating, Spookily Effective...Saucy!”
