STILLCHYLD is a rock/metal band from Clinton, Iowa fronted by female vocalist, Aleshia Handy.
Their motto is "Brutal and beautiful" - two words which perfectly describe their music. Fusing elements of Metal, Rock, Pop and Goth, Stillchyld boasts a unique sound, full of melody and power.
The name Stillchyld comes from the word "stillborn".
"Stillchyld means a child who has died inside emotionally," explains Aleshia, "and no child should have to die inside emotionally. We as a band are here to show that life does not have to be so hard. YOU are your biggest influence in the end. Take your emotions and put them into your passion....your dream. Be who you want to be."
Formed in 2007, by Aleshia and guitarist, David Mosell, the Stillchyld line up is completed by Josh Luckritz on Bass and Edward Bartels on Drums, with Aleshia also playing keys on the tracks.
The bands debut album is set to drop in late 2010 and the band will take to the road in 2011 to promote it''s release.
2010 also sees Stillchyld celebrating their signing with The Inner Light Agency for full development.
