Sergey Zadvorny, a basso cantante, has compiled an impressive roster of engagements as a soloist in some of the leading opera houses in the world, including La Scala in Milan, Zurich Opera, Paris Theatre Chatelet, Theater of Wiesbaden in Germany, Bolshoi In Moscow, Odessa Opera Theatre, Pesaro Rossini Opera Festival, Teatro Communale, Bologna in Italy, New York City Opera. He performed in Europe with Renee Fleming, Dmitry Khvorostovsky, Olga Borodina, Vincenzo La Scola, Mariella Devia. He was awarded a full scholarship to study voice in Italy at Academia Chiagana, in Sienna, Italy, and Academia d’Arte “Citta di Osimo” in Milan, where he attended classes of maestros Carlo Bergonzi, Albero Zedda, Antonio Tonini, Mario Melani, after graduating with Honor’s Diploma from Odessa Conservatory in Ukraine with maestro E. Ivanov. He also has a Master’s degree in mathematics. Since 1988, he became a laureate of thirteen prestigious international vocal competitions, including prestigious Voce Verdiane, Viotti, Lauri Volpi, Rafaelle Arie, and Tchaikovsky International Competition. In 2010 he became a laureat-winner at the Russian Festival in Moscow and performed at the Colonny Zal at the winner’s Concert.
