Formed in 2008 by vocalist and arranger Simon Sun , Sidewalk TV has evolved through several musical and member changes to the 4-piece that stands before us today. Sidewalk TV lept into the New York scene with their signature psychedelic/ shoegaze rock with driving electro beats playing East Village and Brooklyn venues, fine tuning their performances with live drums. Now featuring Nicole Lenzen on keyboards/ backing vocals, Frank Molina on drums, Dave Marks on bass, Simon began playing guitar adding a more fluid wall of sound to the mix. Using an array of electronics allows Sidewalk TV to be highly versatile so that shows can be performed as a duo, trio or full band. Their unique blend of vocal harmonies with the live mix of electronica distinctly seperates them from an otherwise stagnant New York indie rock scene.

Completed in 2010, "Magnificent Desolation In The Sea Of Tranquility" is Sidewalk TV''s first formal recording featuring former and present band members as well as guest musicians David Mies (Tall firs) on guitar and Gina Rodriguez (Detroit Cobras/ Les Sans Coulettess/ Moisurizer) on bass.
Recorded and mixed by Simon Sun under his DJ name, The Fists of Sonny Choo and artwork by VH1 on air graphic designer Clarissa Soto.
