This is a collection of songs written when the composer was between the ages of seventeen and nineteen years of age- the first attempts of Kai Elan and a complete DIY production, but this is also the collaborative friendship between himself and Percussionist/Tattoo Artist Chase Early. Kai had been stationed for 3 years in the forest off the coast of Santa Cruz, CA, and was circulating the coasts of California for the production; doing the drum sessions in Southern Cali, and Mixing Sessions in San Francisco in a tape mastering effort with Kevin Cameron. The album is centralized over Early''s straightforward mustang like drumming, whereas Kai created a mix around every track playing all the instruments, vocals and even adding to the percussion, with the additional highlights of friends making an appearance, including Andy Alexandrov, his closest friend to which he would witness the death of only a little more than a year later. The album resulted in the disintegration of Elan & Early''s mental well being as well as Early''s road into addiction, and was delayed a year before it''s release. Still, it carries a dense story with anguish, bliss, unconsciousness and a thirst for loving the duality of nature unto oblivion.
