Details:
With over thirty years in the music industry and continually growing as an artist,
Harry O’Donoghue remains steadfast in his role as journeyman, storyteller,
songwriter and ambassador of contemporary and traditional Irish folk music. His
is the story of old Ireland, infused with the freshness and world influences of a new
century, his delivery subtle yet emotional and his attention to lyrical and musical
detail exact.
A Splash of No Regrets is Harry’s first full studio recording since his critically
acclaimed Sincerely album in 2005.
The album was recorded at Grove Island Studio in Hawthorne, New Jersey by
producer and mulit-instrumentalist Gabriel Donohue and features stellar
performances by Joanie Madden on whistles and flutes, Marion Makens on
backing vocals and Gabriel on guitars and piano.
The CD includes four original pieces from Harry, one of which is the haunting
instrumental Snow on Millmount. Three traditional songs, two old school
classics and two contemporary songs from writers Jimmy MacCarthy, and Kieran
Goss begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting are also included. A beautiful arrangement of Rod McKeun’s Loveʼs Been
Good to Me rounds out the project.

“A facile guitarist with a gentle lilt in his strong, clear voice, contemporary
folk and acoustic pop roll off his fingers and tongue with ease, yet heʼs also
equally at home with the traditional hymns, jigs and reels of his homeland.”
- Jim Reed, Connect Savannah
“...congratulations on a great album and a beautiful version of Reasons to Leave.
The singing is great and the production is first class.”
- Kieran Goss, Singer, Songwriter
“Harry comes out with a guitar and heʼs just got this way about him. Heʼs very
personable, with a beautiful voice.”
- Peter Shannon, Conductor, Savannah Philharmonic
