In the summer of 2008 I was in the midst of a creative peak spurred on by a close friend with concepts and a deadline. In July I was given the task of creating a soundtrack to a book, perhaps one I''d studied at university. With that idea planted in my mind I set out to re-read the Tim O Brien novel ''In The Lake of the Woods''. The album fell together in a couple of weeks. Fast forward to 2010 and I''m playing regularly as part of an acoustic duo but I felt that these songs needed to be released into the world so I could lay them to rest, as it were.
