This is the debut EP of Fiction City. Nova is a complete story of turning a typical introvert, one of millions, into a horrible maniac that lures women into his house, where he tortures them and feeds his victims with their own flesh. The 1st-person narration coherently goes through all the tracks making the EP an example of a "concept-album". Inspired by classical literature (such as "The Collector") and real-life incidents, Nova describes a nightmare that may start inside every single person you know. Perhaps that nice lady, who works with you in the same office, has something more unusual than old clothes & xmas stuff in her basement?
Fiction City creates very atmospheric and at the same time clearly-formed electronic music, putting together ambient soundscapes and groovy beats, hallucinogenic female voices and psychotic male vocals, avant-garde electronic genres and "traditional" structures. As the album goes, the music morphs from highly depressive psy-ambient and IDM to exploding electro-rock and even techno. This is definitely not a background music, this is something from the world of mind games. Follow it, and you will be impressed by the depth of the rabbit''s hole.
