Coming Back For More captures The Wolfe Gang’s fun sound, which mixes blues, R&B and soul – with a touch of country twang and jazz. The CD features two original songs and 10 covers of little known, or fresh interpretations of, classics such as Big Mama Thornton’s Hound Dog – performed with energy and humour.
The Gang is a melting pot for the considerable talents and experience of: Peter ‘Robbo’ Robertson (of Spectrum fame) on drums and percussion, Broc O’Connor on bass, acoustic and slide guitar, Cathy Middleton on saxophones and keyboard, Neil Rote on guitars and six-string bass and Diana Wolfe on vocals.
The band met early in 2002 through a mutual love of blues in all its forms, at the popular Sunday afternoon Elwood RSL Club blues jam.
