Details:
Deadly Sin and Deadly Sin 2: Shining Faith, are two home-brewed Role-Playing Games, (RPGs) both featuring 20 to 30 hours of compelling and addictive game play, immersing the player into a fantasy world and playing out the internal and external conflicts of the main characters. As many RPGs have a great focus on their soundtracks, which is widely considered to be a huge boost to the enjoyment of a storyline-based adventure. This album features a hand-picked list of the best tracks from both games combined.

The creator of the Deadly Sin 1 and 2 RPGs is also the composer of their soundtracks. Phil Hamilton is a classically-trained, experienced musician with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University Of Northern Iowa. He is a trumpet and piano player by trade, and has many years of performing experience. As a trumpet player, he has toured Northern Italy with the UNI Wind Symphony, recorded three Jazz Albums with the UNI Jazz Band One, performed with Carnival Cruise Lines as a showband musician, and more. He taught Music and Band for Iowa public schools before deciding to work for himself.

The music from this album takes its inspirations from the composer''s video game-playing roots, namely a handful of notable Japanese game composers, Nobuo Uematsu, who is famous for his works in the Final Fantasy franchise, Yasunori Mitsuda, who is behind works such as the Chrono Trigger and Xenosaga soundtracks, and Masaharu Iwata, who had a hand in the composing of Final Fantasy Tactic''s soundtrack. It is a combination of western symphonic orchestration and musical form, with eastern composers'' tendency to focus on themes and melodies. Deadly Sin''s soundtracks differ from many other video game soundtracks, in that they are composed with a sense of fine art, meaning they are composed with the tension/release cycle that is the basis for most classical music, and is a form of delayed musical gratification.
