James M. German, age 71, a retired farmer, partly seeing but legally blind, plays barbershop harmony on a chromatic 64 reed chromatic harmonica, blended, mixed and recorded together in his home recording studio. His retired nurse wife, Pat plays the omnichord on various styles of chords along with Jim''s 17 traditional church hymns. James has been playing chromatic harmonica since age 9 when he was totally blind for almost 2 years. Pat is a retired, intensive care nurse. The two of them play regularly in churches, retirement centers, nursing homes, hospitals and parties. This CD recording is about 39 minutes long and is very comforting and soothing music. James also has a recording that he made earlier for sale. The chromatic harmonica is difficult to play well since each sound hold has 4 sounds, two draw and two blow. Jim and Pat play the old music of broadway, love songs and hymns. This is another one-of-a-kind music recording! Enjoy!
