Rod Treme, owner and founding member explains. "This full-time ministry started over 32 years ago with four young men all related to one another, hence the name ''Relations Quartet''. Many faces have come and gone, but our mission has remained the same through all of these years; to continue on the journey that the apostle Paul began many years ago." While most of the concert dates are fulfilled in churches, Paul''s Journey is no stranger to many prestigious auditorium and theater stages, as well as state and county fairs throughout the U.S. Called on regularly, Paul''s Journey has had the privilege of opening both Christian and secular events with their stirring rendition of the National Anthem.
During their tenure as The Relations Quartet, they were awarded "Male Quartet of the Year" at the 2007 SGM FanFair in Chattanooga, TN and nominated in the top five in 2008, 2009 and 2010. They received a nod from the Diamond Award''s for "Group of the Year" in 2004, 2009 and 2010, and for "Video of the Year" in 2008. Other various awards have been received from the STGMA in 2001, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Radio has also embraced the group with appearances on Paul Heil''s Gospel Greats and Solid Gospel Radio. The group has garnered many top 80 hits including their current single, "He Called Me Out" (SN top 80/CVM top 40), and their previous singles "Grace Is Never Far" (SN top 40/CVM #12) "Lead Me To The Rock" (SN top 40/CVM top 20) and "When the Morning Breaks" (SN top 80/CVM #10). Other charting songs include "Soul Business" (SN top 40) and "The Spirit Will Come Down".
