Harry Miller is a pianist and composer who currently leads his own contemporary jazz group "The Satisfied Souls" with appearances in the New York City area.
The CD available on this page, "Live at the Museum", was recorded live in concert in June 1998 at the Paterson Museum in New Jersey with Harry on piano, Dave Edwards on electric and acoustic bass, and Vince Ector on drums. The CD was recorded and engineered by Joe Maggelet.
Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Harry was active in the midwest music scene from the ages of 15 to 18. He then moved to Boston, enrolling at Berklee College of Music, and performing with his own band at Boston area venues. In addition, he studied briefly at The Creative Music Studio near Woodstock, NY. His most notable music teachers have included Ken Palmer, Mike Gibbs, Pat Metheny, Jack DeJohnette, Dave Holland, Lyle Mays and Mike LeDonne.
Miller has released four recordings under his own name: "Open House" (out of print), "Paradox Fossils", "Live at the Museum" and the latest, "Jazz Beauty Supply". All of the recordings feature Harry''s original compositions.
