Details:
For those of you who’ve been sitting on the edge of your bed, pining for some fresh music that fills that void in between Sara McLachlan and Patrice Pike- today is your lucky day: meet Heather Knox. With Rock n’ Roll blonde locks and a young voice aged with experience, Heather Knox is the latest singer/songwriter to turn heads. Her skill on the guitar mixed with her innate ability to turn poems into song verses easily churns up memories and emotions in each audience.

Heather Knox slipped onto the Dallas music scene in 1999 after playing one original song at the open mic night at Club Dada in Deep Ellum and soon after secured a semi-finalist position in the annual B.W. Stevenson Memorial Songwriter Competition at Poor David''s Pub.

This was enough to get her hooked. She released her
self- titled debut CD in 2004 and hasn’t looked back since.

Heather will make her National Television debut in February of 2006 on the premiere episode of Unsigned on HD Net.

"I''ve heard a number of woman sing with angst about their lives, but Heather''s subtle delivery and her passion filled lyrics to the song “Runaway”, sneak up on you, pull you in, then leave you wanting more! This girl is smart, listen to the band that back''s her, perfect mix that builds into a dramatic ending! “Runaway” is a nice appetizer, I can''t wait to hear what she does next!"

"When it came time to record her first c.d., the recently released Heather Knox, she dipped into her checkbook to hire producer Jeff Howe and a cast of top-shelf players including Birtha Coolidge-ites Aden Bubeck (bass) and Joey Carter (keyboards), as well as their Max Stallings bandmate, guitarist Dale Clark. The result is a remarkably assured debut that’s strong enough to catapult Knox from the open-mic stages and acoustic venues where she got her start into the edgy alt-rock arena inhabited by the likes of P.J. Harvey, Fiona Apple, and Joan Osborne. Knox’s sultry, bluesy voice arcs and soars, aches and swoons. Her songs are heartfelt and genuinely moving â€" from the portrait of a woman awaiting a warrior’s return in “Waiting,” to the chronicle of more personal struggles in “Tell Me,” to the awe-struck romantic ode “Lovely.”
