Thank you for you confidence and your gentle yet extremely productive "Kick In The Pants"! BIO Singer, songwriter and performer, Elaine Dempsey blends a background of folk, rock and gospel-blues to create a dynamic vocal and acoustic guitar style truly her own.
Elaine performs her own thoughtful originals, as well as hand picked cover tunes in a solo artist setting or with a band.
She has also appeared as a duo with Bill "Sputnik" Spooner, principal writer and guitarist and singer for the Tubes.
Having performed in clubs from New York to California and many states in between.
Elaine moved to the Bay Area of California from her home in Virginia, with the desire and dedication to write.
Her writing bears the heart-felt presence of knowing the pain, joy and struggles of people in her life; as well as providing a source of hope and encouragement.
She is a repeat winner in the "Best Song" and "Best Performance" categories of the Northern California Songwriter Association Contests.
Performance is second nature to her.
It has been said on many occasions that at the end of the evening you feel as if you have experienced an intimate and enjoyable conversation with an old friend.
"Her voice will capture you, take you in, and carry you home." Currently, Elaine performs on both the East and West Coasts.
