MP3 Beau Alquizola Band - Unbalanced

The Beau Alquizola Band is a solid, high-energy, hard-edged pop/rock unit. The melodies are catchy. And Alquizola''s soulful voice is rich and full of versatility.

11 MP3 Songs
POP: Power Pop, ROCK: Acoustic

Details:
Beau started as a soul singer in the early 1990s. While singing in an r&b group (based out of Tampa/Orlando), he developed his songwriting skills.

In 2000, he and Tampa producer J Soul teamed up for the internet release of Beau''s "Move On" EP. The single, "Better Than Me," was an ''on fire'' debut...at number 15 on MP3''s pop charts. The "Move On" EP displayed a mixture of pop, r&b, hip hop & reggae; and Beau''s rich vocal arrangements were reminiscent of the Motown era.

In 2002, he released "The Jay Songs" EP. Beau collaborated with Cincinnati guitarist/producer, Jeff Conner on "The Way I Feel" and "Knowing the Deal." Musically, these two songs were a departure from Beau''s r&b background: One song, an acoustic ballad and the other, more rock oriented. And once again, he partnered up with J Soul for the song, "Everything."

In 2004, Beau hit the Cincinnati live performance scene with his former acoustic pop/rock duo "CoBo Moon." In Jan 2005, Beau officially went solo as a live performer.

Currently, Beau resides in Cincinnati and his
first full-length solo project, the album "Please Keep the Door Closed" was released in the fall of 2005. In support, guitarist Ben Schummer, in April of 2005, came on-board as a fill-in for one event. From there, he continued to perform as accompaniment for Beau at most of his shows (if not all). And by the end of 2005, he became one of Alquizola''s primary songwriting partners. Ben also serves as director of Alquizola''s band. In addition, Sharon Udoh made her sneak attack on piano in August of 2005. A month later, bassist sensation Noah Diamond and multi-tasking drummer J Matt Retherford entered the picture. And finally, with the addition of guitarist Shaun Henry, "the Beau Alquizola Band" was formed. The album "Unbalanced" consists of this current line-up, and is now available.

Beau also sings the theme song to the popular webcomic "Angel Moxie." His performances at the 2004, 2005 & 2006 MidPoint Music Festivals (held in downtown Cincinnati) were well attended and well received.
