Details:
Laura Hall is probably best known as the improvisational pianist on television’s WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY. She also tours around the country doing live shows with DREW CAREY AND THE IMPROV ALLSTARS. However, there’s more to her music than that.
Laura has also written music for films, including a new documentary, SWIMMING IN AUSCHWITZ, and the indie short, ANATOMY OF A BREAKUP. She has composed music for several original stage shows, including PATTY PATTY BANG BANG, which won an LA Weekly Award for Best New Musical, and the Jeff Award winning Second City revue, CHANNEL THIS.
Laura also has two albums of her own original children’s music, I SEE A TIGER and COME JOIN THE PARADE. (Also available here at cdbaby.) And she wrote the music for TELL ME A STORY, a collection of timeless folktales from around the world. (It’s available at cdbaby too!) She also wrote the music for a series of children’s videos, THE WHEELS ON THE BUS, starring Roger Daltrey as the voice of a seven foot dragon (cd’s available at cdbaby, dvd’s available at https://www.tradebit.com).
Laura wrote, played on and sang all the songs on this cd. They are a personal expression of her faith journey as a woman, a mother, and a part of the broader community of faith. Her music has been compared to Carole King and Emmylou Harris. Laura is very proud of this cd, and so happy to be able to share it with you.
