The Albert-Ankrum Propose is an exciting present-day jazz quintet, founded in New Orleans, and led by trombonist Jeff Albert. The group performs original compositions as well as overbold versions of classic tunes from the jazz lexicon. The Albert-Ankrum Propose (AAP) mixes a present-day jazz aesthetic with the grit and groove of the Crescent City. During an AAP set you might go on a reggae trip to Jamaica, move your feet to a funky New Orleans groove, and swing like 52nd Street, but you can always expect great music.
