Sooner or later you’ll know who he is, so lets go ahead and introduce him. Tweezy is a twenty-one year old Jacksonville native. He was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida on the Westside of town. At the tender age of eight years old he moved to the Southside of Jacksonville. Born Antwan Johnson, he is the oldest of three children. Tweezy graduated from Terry Parker High School in 2003 and at the age of 20 he moved to Atlanta, Georgia.
Inspired by Bone Thugs -N –Harmony, Tupac, Outkast, Michael Jackson and Marvin Gaye, Tweezy discovered his passion for music at the age of 12. He was unaware that in the near future he would be given an opportunity to pursue a music career. A childhood friend by the name of Chris White gave word of mouth to his sister Carolyn Hall and brother-in-law Lorne Hall that he had a friend who was very talented and had a passion for the music business.
Once speaking with Antwan and hearing him freestyle Carolyn and Lorne felt that Antwan had great potential and decided to give this young man the opportunity he had been wanting and waiting for. They later became his manager and Antwan was the first artist to sign to the record label Hotlanta Records, LLC.
Tweezy is currently working on his first album entitled: “All Aboard”. The album will include tracks such as “Who am I”, which is an introduction of what the young artist will bring to the table lyrically, as well as some insight as to who Tweezy is as a person. Other tracks that will be featured on this album are, Like Dat, Lets Go and Watching Me, which has a catchy club vibe to it just to name a few. So don’t sleep on Tweezy and be sure to be on the look out for this young new cat that has a swagger like no other.
