Details:
Luke’s new record was recorded live in the studio in just three days with a band featuring some the DC-areas finest musicians including a horn section and pedal steel. A departure from the last two Brindley Brothers records and the generally over-produced records of today, the new self-titled record calls to mind Motown and classic 70’s singer songwriters like Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young. A return to his roots, Luke reaffirms his relevance among leading singer/songwriters, and continues to offer strong themes of love, compassion and above all hope in a world full of fear and confusion.

Based in Washington, DC, Luke tours nationally and has most recently earned his renown locally as the lead singer/songwriter/guitarist of the critically acclaimed Brindley Brothers – a band he formed with his brother Daniel and brother in law Jared Bartlett.

Luke and Daniel both grew up in New Jersey, played in various bands and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with music degrees from Rutgers. Soon after September 11th, the Brothers relocated to the Washington, DC area to open and operate Jammin'' Java, a 200 seat music venue recently named one of Top 100 Clubs in the world by Pollstar.

In 2004, the Brindley Brothers signed to Paste Records and released Playing With the Light, which was hailed by The Washington Post as "magical...a pop/rock gem...an early contender for one of the best albums of 2004" and was named by Paste Magazine as one of the Top 12 Debut Records of 2004 (alongside other familiar names as Franz Ferdinand, Jem, Jamie Collum and more). Rolling Stone said “Fans of Wilco and Gin Blossoms will swoon.”

Filled With Fire, released in July 2006, was produced and mixed by Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Meredith Brooks, Matthew Ryan) and mastered by NYC-based Fred Kevorkian (Ryan Adams, White Stripes, Jesse Malin). Dealing with the rediscovery of life, love, compassion, hope, struggle, and transcendence in a modern, post-belief world, the album showcased the band’s diversity and mastery of various pop styles dovetailed with smart, thoughtful lyrics. Amplifier called it "Unabashedly American music, offered straight up without regard for fad or fashion” and the Washington Post called it “a sterling example of mature musicianship”.
