Matt Curney wrote pop songs while rocking back and fourth in a tiny cabin hundreds of miles off the coast of Canada.

Once he had two notebooks full, he decided to leave his job as a pianist for Carnival Cruise lines.

Then he returned home to MN, he shared the songs he had written with Byron Johnson Blanchard and Blake Tanberk.

And never went back on the cruise ship.
