FULL CIRCLE CLIQUE
The dictionary defines a “Hustler” as “An enterprising person determined to succeed” or a “Go-Getter.” A definition has never been as befitting as it is upon applying this meaning to the focus of Kool G and Marvalous, collectively known as the “Full Circle Clique.”
Born in the Midwest and raised in the South, siblings, Marvin (Marvalous) and Glenn (Kool G) Lindsey dreamed of entertaining at an early age to soundtracks of Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Earth Wind and Fire and NWA. Their love for both soulful ballads and controversial rap gave the brothers lessons in love, life and everything in between. As the Lindsey’s grew older and more independent, their love for music was greeted with a greater love for fashion and even bigger, entrepreneurship. The need and focus was no longer just to entertain, but to inspire, educate and build as well. The desire lead to the formation of the “Full Circle Clique.”
The Full Circle Clique was developed as Kool G and Marvalous’ method of grooming and promoting the growth of young black businessmen through music and other generation enticing avenues including fashion and philanthropy. Under the FCC,s umbrella includes: a retail store, Gelco Clothing, a clothing line Gelco/Gelly, an independent record label, S.T.A.R.S. Music.
Today, Kool G, Marvalous and the Full Circle Clique are gaining major followers and supporters of their brand through messages and music from the host entertainment company, S.T.A.R.S (Striving Through Adversity Reaching Success). FCC’s new single, “I’m Supposed 2 Ball” is a high energy, in your face declaration that invites listeners to work hard for the ultimate rewards of living a great life. Kool G and Marvalous state, “Our journey, joys and pains may not be the same as the next person’s, but our goal is to make sure we let everyone know that life offers you a piece of the pie and your slice, is indeed yours.”
Performances, including being opening acts for Plies and Nicki Minaj in Chicago, are connecting FCC to larger and larger audiences everyday.
