Details:
“Rome wasn’t built in a day,” chuckled Clipson, “and neither were we.”

The melodies of their ramshakle apartment in South Austin are echoed in “Intro” with bi-polar tempo changes and memorable choruses after the seamless transition into “Mailbox Centerfold.” The enticing vibe pushes through a punk ethos in “Destroy, Destroy Her” to articulately blazing guitar solos provided by guitar maestro Allen Lamme in “Shift.” “Devin’s Song” brightens the room with a driving breakdown and “Nicole’s Friends’ Friend” is an imaginative tale of moving forward in a life seemingly not worth waking up for. The subtle phrasing in “Fake It, Liar, Fake It” is an explanation of what one wants for someone else while the trumpeteering of Griff Clipson against a raggae bridge that flows into a jamming conclusion for “Famous By Association.” “Silent Majority” is a well-earned tribute to confidence and knowing who you are. Using metal as a method, “Speaking In Tongues” is from the perspective of the world nobody wants, but everyone wants to see. “Janis” is a wonderfully emotional conclusion to as long as it takes forever to end as Lamme picks up a fretless bass and introduces you to his memories in Ausitn.

The drive for quality over quantity prolonged the release of this experience, but it’s been worthy of the wait. For the Most Part is very proud to present their life’s work to you. You don’t know it yet, but this is what you’ve been waiting for.
