"Fatal Fusion" is a group of five people from Drammen, Follo and Hurum-area. The group got together in early 2008, after emerging from the ashes of several Rock/Blues covers bands, dating back to the 1980''s. Keyboardist Erlend and bassist Lasse was in a pop/rock band called "No name", in the 80''s & early 90''s. After the group was disbanded, drummer Audun(Erlends younger brother)joined Erlend & Lasse in 1997 to form another Rock-covers band called "Moonstone", and started writing some music ourselves. The group disbanded in 1999 due to having trouble of getting a decent vocalist. The tree got together again in 2002 and formed another covers band called "Chrystal Blues", wich was primarely a Blues band, but disbanded in 2007 due to guitarist & singer problems, and having the desire to play more intricate music and writing all the music ourselves. "Fatal Fusion" was born, and the first to join the tree was singer Knut, and guitarist Stig was soon to follow. Knut had been singing & playing acoustic guitar in a couple of Rock/Blues covers bands. Stigs first band was a Rock band called "The rumbling tubes" in the 1990''s, and joined a Prog-Metall band called "Agate" in ca 2005, and is still a member of the group. Though we consider ourselves as a "Classic-Rock/Prog-Rock band", the influences are many, from Blues, Jazz, Latin, Prog, NeoProg, Psychedelia, Hard rock, Funk and Classical music. We like to explore and mix styles together, trying to get a broad musical landscape. We also try to stay close to the classic progrock sound of the 1960''s & 70''s, using a lot of vintage sounds like Rhodes piano, Mellotron, Hammond Organ, Moog & Prophet synthesizers.

This can also be a sign that they have matured sufficiently that others can leave their ear canals are filled with their hopefully delightful and exciting music. The music played by mature men aged 30 - 40 years, holding enough routine to play the program that requires some musical muscle. For it is precisely the love of prog that has led Fatal Fusion together as a musical ensemble. An ensemble that attempts to live up to the second part of its name, fusion. The reason is that they like to mix a wide variety of items from a wide variety of genres into their musical mix. Yet they do not disregard the fact to create more straight rock songs, yet always has something of prog aesthetics of the foundation"
