She is influenced by African History, the Black community, life; the good and the bad, Jazz, R&B and Reggae.
She is a spoken word artist who has been in major events in Rochester, NY: Artwalk Alive, The Clothesline Art Festival, Dream… of the possibilities 3rd Annual Cabaret, and Hatched: Female Artist Showcase and many other festivities. She has also been in the play, “Hatshepsut: She Wears the Beard, She Says I’m King.” The play included King’s poem, “Whose Name Do We Call?” Her new passion is acting as well as creating and doing spoken word workshops.
She has been published twice in the Angle Magazine, several times on the Rochester A.B.O.V.E website and published in the Minority Reporter newspaper. She uses poetry as a platform to educate and spread love. Her endeavor is to be a traveling spoken word artist. She is inspired by her dreams to be part of the solution.
