Si has been writing music since the age of 11. His various adventures in rock bands have led to support slots with acts including The Lightening Seeds, Fun>Da>Mental and Fightstar.
In 2008, his band Captain Yange released their debut album "Compos Mentis", performed some knockout gigs, built up a solid live following and then stopped, largely to pursue other projects, such as writing songs for major international acts.
Si then built a studio in his garage and began work on the National Trevor project. National Trevor mixes rock and folk with electronica taking influences from Beck, Thom Yorke, Nick Drake, Peter Gabriel, U2, Radiohead, Caribou, Four Tet and Imogen Heap.
The 12 songs are now complete and Si is now focusing on building his live set using a range of instruments, switches, cameras and software.
Si is also involved in sound design and composition for film and delivers creative community music projects. He is a part-time lecturer in Music Technology at Staffordshire University.
