This new album from Craig Schoen of Maplewood, brings together influences from his time in Athens, Georgia and Brooklyn, New York fusing indie-folk with harmonies, fiddles, performed by a collection of fine upstart Seattle musicians. Warmly recorded by Derek Moree and Craig Schoen in the last year in Seattle, the acoustics are percussive as well as lush with tracks ranging from standard ballads, to rip-roaring dance tunes. This is the first installment of a loosely conceptualized piece of music by Legendary Oaks to be followed by a second record which ties the story of Harland Oaks'' journey from rural Virginia to the halls of Congress in Washington, D.C.
