''Sgt Zang'' is titled and dedicated to the life of former bass player Sgt. V. Keith Zang, who died in 2002. After his service in the US Army, he returned home to Pittsburgh to raise his family. Keith loved to play music, and when Liverball needed a bass player he stepped right up and took the reins. Another part of Keith, with help from his wife Angel, was he made himself well-known by designing and manufacturing real steel M-1 helmets in 1/6 scale for GI Joe action figures.
Keith wrote both the music and lyrics to the song Window Washer, sung by frontman Joe Triglia, and also contributed his talents to other arrangements throughout this album.
After the devastating loss of Keith, Liverball still continues to gig and create new music.
