WUPA is a high-octane, energetic, versatile 7-piece band that explores and plays many styles of music. WUPA''s versatility is derived from both the band''s vocalists and their players. Containing three main singers that take turns singing lead and harmony vocals, two guitarists who switch off rhythm acoustic and lead electric, a tight bassist who occasionally steals the mic to sing lead, and a flexible drummer that can switch up grooves, styles, and instruments, WUPA approaches their music making and playing as an open, fun, collaborative effort with no boundaries.
Starting out as an open mic collaboration between its three singers (Wil, Uton and Pat), and one of its guitarist (Archie, see a pattern?), the group has steadily grown and has begun to build a reputation for playing both tight, memorable original music and innovative interpretations of other artists'' music. With Mike on lead guitar, Travis on bass, and Jeff on drums, WUPA is setting out on a dynamic musical journey, and inviting all of their fans, and all visiting this page who are unfamiliar with the band, to share the experience with them.
