Details:
At age 15, Cory Hite is an accomplished singer/songwriter. She has been playing music since she was five. In 6th grade, she fell in love with the bass, and has been playing in jazz and rock bands ever since. Last year, she released her own home-grown CD On the Beaten Path expressing all the angst and wonder of a high school freshman. Reading in the Dark, featuring songs based on a range of classic literature, is Cory''s second album and was recorded with the help of various Tigermen.

Cory performs regularly as a solo acoustic singer/songwriter performing at local coffee houses and open mic nights. She also performs with the Fort Washington School of Rock House Band, playing a range of classic rock songs at venues across Pennsylvania and along the east coast.

Each of the songs on Reading in the Dark is based on a literary work:

Soma: words and music by Cory Hite, inspired by Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World
Three: words by William Shakespeare. Additional words and music by Cory Hite

Turning and Turning: words and music by Cory Hite, inspired by Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart
Little Brother: words drawn from the novel Little Brother by Cory Doctorow (with author''s permission), music by Cory Hite
Cycler: words and music by Cory Hite, inspired by Lauren McLaughlin’s Cycler
Winston’s Lament: music by Cory Hite, inspired by George Orwell’s 1984
V: words and Music by Cory Hite, inspired by Alan Moore’s graphic novel V for Vendetta

Drums on all songs by Butch Serianni; lead guitar on all songs (except V and Winston’s Lament) by Sallie Fullerton; all other instrumentation and vocals by Cory Hite; additional percussion by Jim Love and featuring a world debut on vibraslap by Gary Hite; hand claps and stomping on Gertrudis by Jim Love and Mike Bardzik; screams on Little Brother by Jim and Miles Love.
