Steve Ripley has spent his entire life in the music business, working with Leon Russell, JJ Cale, Eddie Van Halen, Ry Cooder, Bob Dylan, and his own group, The Tractors, which, at the time of their first release, was the fastest country group to go platinum in recording history. Working out of the famous Church Studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma, former home to Leon Russell''s Shelter Records, Ripley was not only the leader and producer of The Tractors, he recorded and produced two albums by his friends, The Red Dirt Rangers - pioneers and leaders in the new music genre, Red Dirt Music. During this time, in an odd twist of fate, Rangers Brad Piccolo and John Cooper, purchased farmland within miles of the Oklahoma farm where Ripley was raised. Shortly thereafter, Ripley and his wife, Charlene, sold The Church Studio, and relocated to the original Ripley farm, where they began the process of building a new recording studio. New separate recording projects by both Ripley and The Red Dirt Rangers are now in progress, but this collaboration on Bobby Bare''s classic, "God Bless America Again," is the first actual release from the new Ripley Farm Studio. Featuring the eclectic genius of multi-instrumentalist, Fats Kaplin, "God Bless America Again" is both heartfelt and organic, embracing with open arms everything that lies at the heart of Americana and traditional country music.
