I am so proud to present this most recent collection of music by Exodus. I am confident that, while listening to this CD, you will catch yourself saying quite often, “I can’t believe these are high school kids.” For the quality of what they have put together here is truly amazing. The primary focus of this student band, formed eleven years ago, is to provide engaging and inspiring music at school and community-wide liturgies. In addition, over the past several years, the group has been able to expand its musical repertoire and perform at a variety of other venues as well. This year, for example, Exodus joined together with the AMHS Jazz Band to open for Bill Engvall at the school’s gala Black and Gold fundraiser at the Fairmont Hotel. Our school’s liturgical theme for the ’08-’09 school year, “If Everyone Cared,” serves as the title for this new CD. Many of the selections are songs played at various liturgies throughout the year, as well as some of those songs played at this year’s Black and Gold. Enjoy it!
