Lyle Watt is an up-and-coming 18 year old guitarist from Scotland. Obsessed with guitar from a very young age, he got his first guitar when he was just 3, and has played ever since. Influenced by the likes of Joe Satriani, David Gilmour, Rory Gallagher and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lyle''s style is a unique mix of old school blues and modern instrumental rock, with influences from the worlds of country and fusion.
Lyle quickly began to build a reputation as a guitarist in his hometown of Thurso, and at the age of 15, he won a place in the live final of the international Guitar Idol competition, in which he came second, against guitarists from all over the world, gaining Lyle some much deserved recognition.
He has also steadily built a worldwide fanbase thanks to his Youtube channel, viewed by over 250,000 people.
''''Homegrown'''' is Lyle''s long awaited debut EP. Written and recorded entirely in his bedroom studio, it showcases not only his ability, but his influences and his songwriting skills too.
