ChopDaBlock, is an American rapper born June 27, in Cleveland, Ohio. Chop is an independent artist signed to his own record label, FLAT FOOT HUSTLAS, Inc. He is an up and coming artist quickly rising to the top and becoming Cleveland’s most preeminent lyrical export. With the recent release of his mixtape, Cash Flow – All I talk is Money in October 2010, he is quickly making his mark by dropping rhymes over hot hip-hop instrumentals, honing his verbal lyricism and real life experiences with top hits “Countin”, “Mr. Put It Down”, and “I Think I’m Young-C”.
Chop enjoyed rapping from a very young age, but it wasn’t until serving a 3 year prison sentence in 2002, that he started to take his craft seriously and wanted to focus on developing and positioning him to be the talented go-getter that he is today. It was in prison, that Chop wrote his very first song to the head-banging tune of 8-Ball & MJG’s “Quit Playing Games”. Thereafter, Chop realized he had what it takes to make it to the top.
The label, Flat Foot Hustlas, was formed and created by Chop himself in 2003. His squad included his brother Young –C, and a few other local talents. Since the birth of Flat Foot, the FREE Young- C MOVEMENT and grind began. Chop and his squad has performed from Cleveland to Atlanta and earned the number 1 spot on internet radio for 5 consecutive weeks.
ChopDaBlock is tried, tested, and proved and has many new ventures and materials in steady production. With the re-invention of Flat Foot Hustlas, which includes a diversified portfolio of rappers and RnB talent the sky is the limit.
