Chris Neal started his musical journey like any other kid; elementary school choir, recorder, ukulele, then on to concert band where the trumpet dominated life for a few years. Soon, though, the voice and the guitar took over when he was given the opportunity to be in a rhythm and blues band at Victoria High School. It was here, playing music by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and the Temptations, that Chris discovered that music is all about feeling, and that has been his focus as a songwriter ever since.
Although his music is more in a rock & roll vein these days, Chris is still driven by that sense of soul and feeling, and his carefully crafted songs clearly reflect that. Music is the only constant thing in his life, and he believes it''s the only thing that makes sense to everyone.
Chris Neal''s debut EP, "The Basement", was recorded in the summer of 2010 and is now available for your listening pleasure.
